This home was on the brink of being condemned and demolished. MSB Homes purchased the property as a restoration project and completely stripped it down to the studs. Springpoint Architects created the plan for the addition replacing the screened in patio on the back of the home and doubling the original floorplan. I was brought on as a consultant to ensure that its original mid-century charm would remain intact. We were able to preserve and restore the original limestone fireplace. Smart Home Automation was installed throughout the home, beautifully updating the home with modern ambiance.  The kitchen finishes beautifully blend mid-century...

Creating Art for Feng Shui

Creating Art for Feng Shui

Sometimes I find spaces that need custom art to create the effect I am looking for. I wanted to incorporate the flowing water element at the entrance of my home. I haven’t found the right place for a fountain on the interior or exterior - and in general, haven’t found any fountains that I like! I decided I would paint the elemental energy I wanted in this space. This painting uses gold to symbolize the sun - the triangle represents the fire element - and the black squiggles are for water. Fountain Drive - Bathroom Remodel

The bathroom was an afterthought in this home built before 1900. Replacing the original outhouse, this humble retreat had a footprint of 3' x 6' containing the vanity and toilet. The shower to the left of the vanity was a dark and dingy mobile home grade shell that was difficult to move around in. We converted this 2 bed/1bath home to a one-bedroom with ensuite. The 700 floorplan is now more usable with plenty of space for relaxing and entertaining.  The closet from the eliminated bedroom became a spacious full tile shower.  A pocket door replaced the previous swing door between the bedroom and...

Wellness Studio - Commercial Design

Wellness Studio - Commercial Design

This project began before there was a space to be designed. I worked with the business to help define the size and configuration of the leased space. There were a lot of variables to keep into consideration such as accessibility, parking, noise, function, and square footage. The perfect location ended up being a concrete slab that needed a complete buildout.  I coordinated with the business managers, architect, general contractor and building manager to develop the buildout plan. The architect created the construction documents based on the working floorplan I created.  When designing for a business, It's incredibly important that the brand...

Spiritual Art Studio

This project started in a 700ft2 commercial space. We were converting for use as an art studio and event space to hold art classes and group meditations. We built walls for the studio space and added work benches along the inside walls. A faux wood pattern was painted on the outside of the walls and stained glass windows were inset. A large galaxy mural was painted into a corner to act as a backdrop for events.
